Madre de Dios más digna! que al estar a los pies de la Cruz con Jesús,
tú Hijo Unigénito, lo viste sufrir, agonizar y morir, permaneciendo sola
e indefensa, sin otro alivio que el dolor y sin otra compañía que los
tormentos.
¡Oh Virgen dolorosa! Mi alma quiere participar, en
tus dolores y aflicciones, para que me acompañes toda mi vida en el
justo sentimiento de la muerte de tu amado Hijo.
Permíteme, Solitaria Señora, que te acompañe siempre en tu tan amarga
Soledad, sintiendo lo que sientes y llorando por lo que lloras.
¡Oh Madre del verdadero amor! llena mi pecho de una caridad inmensa
para amar a tu Hijo Divino, que por amor a mí murió crucificado; y
concédeme el favor que pido en esta oración, para la gloria de Dios, su
honor y el beneficio de mi alma.

To Our Lady of Solitude
Most worthy Mother of God, who when you were at the foot of the Cross
with Jesus, your Only Begotten Son, you saw him suffer, agonize and die,
remaining alone and defenseless, with no other relief than pain and
without other company than torments.
Oh sorrowful Virgin! My
soul wants to participate, in your pains and afflictions, so that you
accompany me all my life in the just empathy of the death of your
beloved Son.
Allow me, oh Lady of Solitude, to always accompany
you in such bitter solitude, feeling what you feel and crying for what
you cry.
Oh Mother of true love! fill my heart with immense
love to love your Divine Son, who died crucified for love of me; and
grant me the favor that I ask in this prayer, for the glory of God, his
honor and the benefit of my soul.
